Reality Store at TC Middle School
Trigg County Middle School 7th Graders got a taste of "reality" this morning during their "Reality Store" exercise.  7th Graders were told if they were married or single, how many children they had, given a job, and a salary for that job.  The students began their journey into "Reality" with a visit to Uncle Sam and the Bank.  Next they had to visit around 15 different stops to make purchases using their monthly salary, with their objective being to live within their means and have money left over.  After paying for housing, utilities, groceries, transportations, communications, babysitting, and more, some students had to get additional jobs to make ends meet, or go back to a location and make a less expensive purchase.  Those lucky enough to come out ahead - receive a Pay Day Candy Bar as a reward.
