From the News Edge: Transportation officials are reporting a traffic backup along the westbound lanes of I-24 in the work zone from near the Kentucky-Tennessee State Line to the Fort Campbell Boulevard exit. The contractor is pouring concrete as part of ongoing pavement rehabilitation work around the 89-mile marker, near the Pembroke-Oak Grove exit. While concrete trucks are moving in and out of this work area delivering material, the traffic backup appears to be more related to heavy traffic along the westbound lanes today. Westbound I-24 traffic in this work zone is backed up about 3 to 4 miles at this time with traffic slowed to about 35 mph in the area. To help reduce traffic congestion in this area, regular commuters who normally travel this section of I-24 westbound are being asked to seek an alternate route, if possible...............................................................................................................................A Night With The Blues is Saturday night at the Alhambra Theatre. K.V.E. Meets With Farmers In Elkton
Nearly fifty farmers were on hand Tuesday night in Elkton for a Kentucky State Police Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Forum. Lt Kevin Rogers and Officer Chris Green conducted. Alan Watts with the News Edge was in attendance at the forum that focused on current vehicle regulations that are affecting farmers.
