The Trigg County School District is still needing volunteers to mentor 8th and 10th grade students as a part of Operation Preparation. Workforce development coordinator Cammie Evans says response to the program has been good, but more volunteers are needed.
She says representatives of the military branches of service are also needed. Evans says volunteers work with students in the 8th for a specific reason, with sophomores targeted to make sure they are on track for their goals.
She says volunteers need to complete a training session either at the school system on the internet to help them prepare to work with students. Evans says those interested in Operation Preparation can call the school system for more information.
