A vehicle fire in Crofton early Wednesday morning is being treated as a case of arson by the Christian County Sheriff's Department. According to the report, a newspaper delivery man noticed the fire at 138 West Mill Street, around 2:00am. Jon Bynum, who lived at the address, was able to extinguish the fire.
The report also states that the vehicle was parked near the home, and would have likely burned the residence had the fire not been spotted. Investigators located a broken glass bottle in the passenger side of the vehicle, with the fire apparently starting where the bottle landed.
