Trigg Schools Conducting Cafeteria Lockdown Drill

Trigg County School officials will conduct safety training drills in the school cafeteria during the next two weeks. Superintendent Travis Hamby says there is no need for parents to be alarmed if they hear students talking about a lockdown drill in the cafeteria.

He says the first drill will take place Thursday afternoon with Intermediate School students, with all students to eventually go through the drill.

Hamby says there will be a One-call to parents to let them know the lockdown is just a drill. The safety training is taking place following recent threats in the Trigg County School district, and school shootings and threats in the area and across the country.
