Trigg Woman Killed In Kings Chapel Road Accident

A Trigg County woman was killed in a two vehicle accident Tuesday morning on Kings Chapel Road, in Trigg County. State Police say 26-year old Leslie Paige Baker, of 3220 Kings Chapel Road, was southbound, when for  an unknown reason, she crossed over the center line, ran off the left shoulder of the roadway, and into the path of a Freightliner semi, pulling an empty flatbed trailer, driven by 49-year old Mike Wallace, of Cadiz.

Trigg County Coroner John Mark Vinson pronounced Baker dead at the scene of the collision. Vinson told the News Edge that Baker was returning to her home, where she lived with her mother Betty Baker-Wharton, after running some errands in town. Wallace was not injured. The accident occurred around 9:15am, about 4 miles south of Cadiz. Kings Chapel Road was closed for about three hours in the wake of the collision. State Police are continuing their investigation into the crash.
