A longtime Trigg County resident is the recipient of this year’s Farm Mom of the Year award. During the Annual Trigg County Chamber of Commerce Ham Festival Breakfast kickoff, Stephanie Perry honored Joyce Ann Futrell Underhill, saying she was the backbone of the Underhill farm.
Joyce Ann grew up on her parents’ farm in Model, Tennessee; land which she, her husband, and sons still farm. In 1963, she married Ray “Buddy” Underhill, and the couple has two sons, Mike and Kerry.
