Underwood Replaces Hill on Monday Night Footbal

Carrie Underwood will be "Waiting All Day For Sunday Night" when Sunday Night Football starts September 8th when the Giants take on the Cowboys in Dallas. Underwood replaces Faith Hill who decided not to return for a seventh season.

The star-studded sold out final concert George Jones had planned on the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville on November 22nd will go on. It will be tribute to the late singer who passed away last month. Garth Brooks, Kid Rock, Charlie Daniels, Jamey Johnson, the Oak Ridge Boys, Montgomery Gentry, Travis Tritt and more will be on hand to honor Jones.

Kenny Chesney's new album, Life on a Rock, has reached number 1 in the Billboard 200 album sales charts which puts him one album away from tying Garth Brooks for the most number 1 albums on that chart (8). On the country album charts, Chesney scored his 12th number 1 album. (Life on the Rock is his 14th album - pretty impressive!)

Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there - hope you are lucky enough to be with yours this weekend!

Daddy, Dance With Me

Erika Goldring, FilmMagic
Krystal Keith (daughter of Toby) will release a new a album later this year named Whiskey and Lace. It includes a newly released single she wrote for her dad on her wedding day - "Daddy, Dance With Me." The song left everyone at the reception in tears except her famous father. Toby said he came close, but he's a professional and always in control of his emotions. Listen to the song below -

Birthday wishes go out today to Glen Campbell who is celebrating his 77th! He will be releasing a new album, "See You There," on August 6, which includes a fresh look at some of his biggest hits. Campbell was recently forced to quit touring due to the progression of Alzheimers.

Martina McBride has joined the Women's Survivor's Alliance to salute women who have survived cancer with a special performance at the Grand Ole Opry on Aug. 24. The show is part of the National Women's Survivors Convention being held in Nashville that weekend. Details can be found at www.survivorsconvention.com.

Pistol Annies - Kid Rock - Jake Owen

Want to help catch a bad guy on Twitter? Pistol Annies, starring as cartoon versions of themselves, have released Pistol Annies and the Case of the Stolen Gear. Their gear, merchandise and new music has been stolen by Cassius Banks, and you are invited to help solve the crime  in the interactive online graphic novel via social media outlets. New chapters will be made available every week leading up to the May 7 release date of the girls' new album Annie Up. More here.

Kid Rock says the price of concert tickets has gotten out of hand and plans to charge $20 for tickets and $4 for beers all summer long during his Rebel Soul Tour. Promoters told him if he lowered prices, he would make less money, to which Rock replied, "All my friends are taking pay cuts that are in the unions, that are farming in Alabama ... I can surely take a pay cut, too."  He went on to say, "I'm a musician. I play concerts. I've been very fortunate. I've always tried to keep prices what I think are fair. I've always said I'm proud that I could walk around with my head held high and look someone in the eye, knowing that I haven't taken an un-honest dollar from a working man."   Would be nice if other entertainers would follow suit!

I would say whatever Jake Owen is doing to keep in shape is
w-o-r-k-i-n-g ---- WOW!

Willie, Faith & Billy Dean

Willie Nelson has a new album - Let's Face The Music And Dance - he recorded with the Family - the band he started over 40 years ago with his sister Bobbie, Paul English and Mickey Raphael. This is Nelson's 61 studio album and comes just two weeks before his 80th birthday.

Faith Hill Twittered she will not be opening the NFL Sunday Night Football games this season saying it was time to let someone else take over. Hill and husband, Tim McGraw, are huge Titan fans and says she and has learned NEVER to ask a question about something she doesn't understand that happens on the field during a replay!

Jason Aldean headlined the only music concert to play at the University of Georgia's Sanford Stadium in its 84-year history Saturday, April 13th. 66,000 tickets were sold in 45 minutes and joining Aldean on stage were Thomas Rhett, Jake Owen and Luke Bryan. Aldean has sold out every concert booked so far this year including upcoming concerts at Fenway Park and Wrigley Field in July.

Country singer Billy Dean is opening Dean Acres again this year and invites you to celebrate his birthday, Saturday, April 27th, with him in his 100-year-old Party Barn. The tickets are $150 bucks pop and may or may not include a special brunch with Dean and his family the next morning. Dean Acres is in Liberty, Tennessee, about 40 miles outside of Nashville. Now I'm a BIG Billy Dean fan, but at that price it needs to include overnight lodging or at least dinner!!
