One Suspect In Custody in Poindexter Murder



One of the two suspects wanted in connection with the Saturday murder of a Hopkinsville man has now turned himself in. According to information from the Christian County Sheriff's Department, 21-year old William McAllister, of Hopkinsville was arrested without incident Tuesday afternoon, after he turned himself in to detectives. McAllister is charged with Murder, 1st Degree Robbery and Attempted 1st Degree Assault. He was transported to the Christian County Jail after his interview with investigators.

The Sheriff's Office continues to search for 23-year old Quimon Taylor and asks those who might know his whereabouts to contact law enforcement officials. Taylor is believed to be armed and extremely dangerous. Taylor also known as Keymon Watkins is described as a black male approximately 5'10" 155 lbs. 

Poindexter was found in front of L Building at Woodland Heights Apartments with a gunshot wound to the head. He was transported to Jennie Stuart Medical Center and later flown to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries. Authorities are asking if you have any information about the whereabouts of Taylor to call Crime Stoppers at 887-TIPS.  .
