The West Kentucky Workforce Investment Board (WKWIB) is responsible of the development of the One-Stop Career Center System within the Purchase/Pennyrile Workforce Investment Area to provide emp
loyment and training services to individuals and customers in the 17 county area. Through four main Career Centers and thirteen satellite sites, various workforce agencies, also known as Partners, join together to develop a seamless delivery of services. The mandated "partner" agencies include:

Kentucky Office of Vocation Rehabilitation
Kentucky Community & Technical College System
Pennyrile Area Development District
Kentucky Adult Education
Experience Works
Kentucky Farmworker Programs
Kentucky Office for the Blind
Purchase Area Development District

The comprehensive Career Centers are located in Hopkinsville, Madisonville, Mayfield and Paducah. The WKWIB, conjunction with other key partners, also established a special dislocated worker service center in Murray and Mayfield, Kentucky to assist individuals af
fected by the numerous layoffs occurring in that region. The Career Centers provided 189,000 services to individuals and businesses from July 2006 - March 2007. Other affiliate sites are located throughout the area.
