740 soldiers from the 4th, 3rd and 2nd Brigade Combat Teams, along with several Green Berets from 5th Special Forces, was cut down to some 500 after physical fitness tests and then that number to 185 following defense, recon, landnav and patrol tests and of those 181 made it through the 12 mile ruck march to receive the coveted Expert Infantryman Badge.
