Prosecutors in Hopkins County say the juvenile accused in a double shooting back in August that killed his mother and seriously injured his stepfather will be tried as an adult. The Hopkins County Grand Jury made the decision after reviewing the case against 17-year old Adam Teems, who is charged with Murder and Attempted Murder.
Police charge Teems killed his mother, 45-year old Rose Riley, and wounded her husband, 51-year old Keith Riley, back on August 26, at their home in Dalton. Following the shooting Teems traveled to Trigg County, where he was taken into custody in the Linton area.
