State Police also charged Christopher Herndon Tuesday afternoon as being the male subject who fled the scene of the crash.

Second Fatal At Accident Site In Four Years



Saturday's accident on Rockcastle Road that claimed four lives is the second fatal accident to occur at that location in the last four years. Back on January 4th of 2009, 57-year old George Dunn, of Cadiz, was killed when his pickup collided with a Nissan Pathfinder driven by Codie Atwell, of Cadiz. The State Police report on that accident states that the two vehicle hit each other in the curve in front of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church.

The van involved in Saturday's fatal accident came to rest just a few feet from the highway cross marking the site of the 2009 fatality. Saturday's accident claimed the lives of Lindsey Sholar, Kim Shafer, Dalton McDougal, and David Shoaf.
