Scott Brown handles most of the sports duties for Ham Broadcasting. In addition to providing daily sports news on this blog, he broadcasts high school football, basketball and baseball games on WKDZ and WHVO. He also hosts the Saturday Morning Sports Report on WKDZ - one of the few local sports programs in the area. Justin Hageman Pitches Hilltoppers Past ULM

Former Hopkinsville standout Justin Hageman allowed just one earned run over seven innings as Western Kentucky beat Louisiana Monroe 9-1 Sunday in Bowling Green.


Hageman was making his first conference start of the season allowed just six hits and retired the final six batters he faced.  In his last three starts, Hageman has allowed just three earned runs in 17 innings of work.

With the win, Western Kentucky moved into a tie for fourth place in the Sun Belt Conference.
