Scott Brown handles most of the sports duties for Ham Broadcasting. In addition to providing daily sports news on this blog, he broadcasts high school football, basketball and baseball games on WKDZ and WHVO. He also hosts the Saturday Morning Sports Report on WKDZ - one of the few local sports programs in the area. His local sports has been the most read in Trigg County for several years.

Maggie Glass Homers Again in Christian County Win

In Saturday softball action, Maggie Glass homered for the second straight game to lead Christian County past Daviess County 7-1. The Lady Colonels are now 2-1 on the young season.

University Heights went 2-2 at the South Warren Spartan Invitational. The Lady Blazers beat Elizabethtown 8-7 and Monroe County 15-0. They lost to Franklin-Simpson 9-4 and the Madisonville 4-1. The losses were UHA’s first of the year as they fall to 5-2.

Hopkinsville dropped three close games at the Todd County Lady Rebel Classic.  The Lady Tigers lost to Crittenden County 7-6, Russellville 7-5, and to Todd County Central 9-8. Hoptown is now 0-5 on the season.

In addition to their win over Hopkinsville, Todd County beat Crittenden County 5-2. The Lady Rebels were supposed to play in the championship game but it was rained out.

At the Lone Oak Lady Flash Invitational, Caldwell County (4-4) beat Carlisle County 4-3 but lost to St. Mary 11-3.
