Russell's Attorney Requests Restrictions Removed

Trigg Circuit Judge Woody Woodall will rule in the near future on whether or not Claude Russell will have to continue reporting in during the months leading up to his second trial. Russell's attorney, John Stewart asked Judge Woodall to remove what he termed an encumbering requirement, while Assistant Commonwealth's Attorney Carrie Ovey-Wiggins noted her objection.

Russell is currently awaiting a second trial, which is scheduled to start August 19, for the 2002 murder of Chantel Humphries.
