Visitors to Land Between the Lakes are being warned by the U.S. Forest Service that area flooding may create dangerous road conditions and cause some closures now through Sunday. LBL officials indicate the soil is already saturated and with the National Weather Service forecasting more rain with a chance of severe weather, roads already submerged will be impassable and ford crossings may be dangerous.
The Elk and Bison Prairie is now closed and will remain closed through Monday. LBL officials say other roads and facilities may close due to this rain event.
