Overturned Tractor Trailer Causes I-24 Traffic Tie-up

Kentucky State Police say the driver of a tractor-trailer was injured when his rig overturned Monday night as he exiting the Breathitt Pennyrile Parkway to Interstate 24.
Trooper Ryan Fox says the driver of the truck 67 year-old John Oldham of Louisville was treated for minor injuries at the scene of the wreck.
The accident occurred around 5:05 when the load of chain link fencing shifted on the trailer he was pulling, which caused the truck and trailer to overturn onto the driver's side. The tractor-trailer slid across both eastbound lanes and came to rest in the median.
The accident resulted in a partial closure of both the east and west bound lanes of the interstate, with the roadway completely reopened shortly before 11:00 Monday night.
