Officials Tour New Hopkinsville Municipal Building

Progress continues to be made on the construction of the new municipal building in downtown Hopkinsville. The News Edge toured the facility with Councilman Buddy Olgesby, Community Development Director Steve Bourne, and Project Manager David Welker of Codel Construction. The building now completely enclosed, will give the city administration the location and size required to meet the needs of Hopkinsville as the city grows. Olgesby was surprised and pleased at the building's progress from the time he toured the building in late fall.

Bourne, whose Community Development Services department will also move to the new location, was equally impressed with the development at this stage:

Construction on the new city hall is expected to last into the summer with a late July or early August completion date.
