The Murray State basketball player facing legal issues of his own in Calloway County was apparently the victim of an armed robbery Thursday in Hopkinsville. According to the report, 20-year old Zay Jackson, of Murray, told Hopkinsville Police he was dropping off a friend at 1510 Tate Street, when an unknown black male, armed with a pistol, approached him and demanded cash.
The suspect is described as 6-2, 220-pounds, dreadlocks, and was last seen wearing blue jeans and a black hoodie. The incident occurred around 12:50pm Thursday. Jackson is currently under indictment by the Calloway County Grand Jury for allegedly hitting two people with his car in the Walmart parking lot in Murray.
