Military Apprecition Bash

From the News Edge: Transportation officials are reporting a traffic backup along the westbound lanes of I-24 in the work zone from near the Kentucky-Tennessee State Line to the Fort Campbell Boulevard exit. The contractor is pouring concrete as part of ongoing pavement rehabilitation work around the 89-mile marker, near the Pembroke-Oak Grove exit. While concrete trucks are moving in and out of this work area delivering material, the traffic backup appears to be more related to heavy traffic along the westbound lanes today. Westbound I-24 traffic in this work zone is backed up about 3 to 4 miles at this time with traffic slowed to about 35 mph in the area. To help reduce traffic congestion in this area, regular commuters who normally travel this section of I-24 westbound are being asked to seek an alternate route, if possible...............................................................................................................................A Night With The Blues is Saturday night at the Alhambra Theatre. The show will feature the music of blues band “Willie Sugarcapps.” VIP tickets are $50 each and included reserve seating and an "eat, meet, and greet" with the band before the show. The Military Appreciation Bash at Kickers was a huge success - thanks to Blaine Larsen, Toyota of Hopkinsville, all the folks at Kickers and everyone that came out to help us salute our soldiers! We had lots of fun prizes, backstage passes, line dancing, fantastic music, and even had birthday cake and sang happy birthday to a soldier that had recently returned home from Iraq - what a great night.
