Man Injured In Tractor Accident Dies Monday

The Tennessee man injured in a tractor accident last Wednesday, while working with a state contracted mowing crew, has died as a result of his injuries. According to officials at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, 40-year old Grady Givens, of Fairview, Tennessee, died Monday afternoon. Givens was the owner of Double-G Mowing.

The accident occurred near the corner of Pembroke Road and John Rivers Road, around 4:30 last Wednesday afternoon. Reports at the time of the accident indicate Givens was working on a tractor when the driver's foot slipped off the clutch resulting in the tractor lunging forward and running over Givens.

He was originally taken to Jennie Stuart Medical Center, and later flown to Vanderbilt.
