Man Charged With Cutting Girlfriend With Knife

A 48-year old Hopkinsville man was charged early Friday morning for allegedly cutting his girlfriend with a knife. Hopkinsville Police say officers were dispatched just after 2:15am to an apartment in the 300 block of East 16th Street for a disturbance where they made contact with Jimmy Good, Jr. in the foyer of the residence.

The report says the homeowner stated to officers that Good came up the steps and began knocking on her apartment door. She told police he then kicked the door open and assaulted her. At that time, police say Good's girlfriend was going to walk him downstairs, but he pulled out a knife and cut her under the chin.

Police reportedly found the knife hidden behind a mattress in the foyer.

Good was arrested and lodged in the Christian County Jail charged with 1st Degree Burglary, 1st Degree Assault and Tampering with Physical Evidence.
