Meanwhile, the night also featured debates between Hopkinsville City Council Ward 1 candidates-Carolsue Daigre, Wendell Green and Thomas Grant, as well as Ward 5 incumbent Charlie Henderson and challenger Jason McCraw. Among topics they debated were the smoking ban, the new municipal building and police department, the budget, recruitment of jobs and industry, and transportation. Night two of the League of Women Voters Forums will feature debates between candidates for the Hopkinsville City Council Ward 6 seat, the Ward 7 seat and the 3rd District State Senate seat.
