Meanwhile, the night also featured debates between Hopkinsville City Council Ward 1 candidates-Carolsue Daigre, Wendell Green and Thomas Grant, as well as Ward 5 incumbent Charlie Henderson and challenger Jason McCraw. Among topics they debated were the smoking ban, the new municipal building and police department, the budget, recruitment of jobs and industry, and transportation.
