KSP Stepping Up Patrols and School Visits

Kentucky State Police are continuing to step up patrols and school visits since school safety has become an issue, not only in Kentucky, but across the nation. State Police say they have been doing school visits for years pursuant to KSP policy and due to recent events troopers have been doing several school visits per day, and worked to schedule more frequent classroom visits with troopers teaching and interacting directly with the students.

KSP wants the public to know that school safety continues to be a top priority at their agency, but they also want students to know that they care about their safety and will always be there for them when needed.

With an increase in school visits, KSP says parents may see patrol vehicles at schools more frequently. If you do see patrol vehicles at a school, they say please remember that it is not cause for alarm.
