Inspection Team Examines Bridge Piers
State highway officials say a Kentucky Transportation Cabinet bridge inspection team inspected 4 piers on the Eggner's Ferry Bridge Thursday as part of an ongoing detailed review of the structure. The examination of the piers is to help engineers further develop about a half-dozen options that are being considered to replace the portion of the bridge that was knocked off by the cargo ship Delta Mariner.
