Hopkinsville Woman Pleads Guilty To Human Trafficking

The Hopkinsville woman charged with human trafficking in Montgomery County entered guilty pleas Thursday. According to the Leaf Chronicle, 27-year old Elizabeth Cook entered the guilty pleas to two counts of Trafficking for Commercial Sex Acts. As a part of the plea agreement, prostitution charges were dismissed.

Cook was sentenced to eight years, with one year to be served in the Montgomery County Jail, with the remaining seven years to be probated. Cook was arrested for prostituting a 17-year old family member in late 2012 and early 2013. Cook was indicted on the charges earlier this summer.
