Hopkinsville Police Take Fake Money Off Street

Hopkinsville Police say a regular traffic stop led officers to discover counterfeit money and the equipment used to make it. Officer Federico Rodriguez reportedly stopped 23-year old Jamie White near the intersection of Canton Street and Blane Drive Thursday evening just after 10:00pm. The report says a search of the vehicle turned up forged money, which White claimed belonged to 31 year old James Juckett.

Officer Rodriguez says he and others then searched White's home, where two printers and other materials, including paper with copied money on it, were found. White and Juckett allegedly claimed the money was being used only to buy drugs. Over 150 dollars in counterfeit money was seized.
