Hopkinsville Police have arrested the person responsible for several prowling incidents in neighborhoods located in the southern part of Hopkinsville.
After a thorough investigation by Hopkinsville Police Detectives, 33 year old Michael Addis McLendon of Hopkinsville was arrested Wednesday afternoon and charged with 2nd degree attempted burglary. Police report outside video surveillance of a home on Oxford Place, in Coxmill Estates, shows McLendon trying to open a back door to gain entry into the residence.
Police detectives told the News Edge video surveillance of McLendon attempting to gain entry into the Oxford Place home was released to the media without the consent of the PD adding the airing of that video did not assist the in the arrest of McLendon.
McLendon has been lodged in the Christian County Jail under a $10,000 cash bond.
