This coming Saturday is shaping up to be a busy day in Hopkinsville with the annual Polar Express and Tree Lighting Ceremony planned for the evening hours and the Hopkinsville Community College planning to bring back a mid-morning learning experience. HCC representative, Carol Kirves says they stopped hosting the program several years ago, but demand this year was high.
She adds that children will have the chance to participate in several different classes.
Kirves says the program, which is reminiscent of the summer KICCS program, will be open to Christian, Todd and Trigg Counties, but parents need to register soon.
Registration for the event is 45 dollars, which covers all classroom supplies and a snack. The Holiday Super Saturday will be open to students in kindergarten through grade six and will start at 9:00am and run til 12:00pm.
