Flash Flood Watch Issued for Friday

A Flash Flood Watch has been issued for most of western Kentucky from 7:00 AM Friday to 1:00 AM Saturday.

Meteorologists with the National Weather Service report rainfall from the remnants of Hurricane Laura will be torrential at times and that 2 to 3 inches, with locally higher amounts, will be possible in the watch area.

In addition, a few strong to severe thunderstorms could also produce brief spin-up tornadoes and strong wind gusts Friday. Outside of any storms, wind gusts near 35 MPH will be possible.
