Eight Vehicles Involved In "Crashfest"

Police in Clarksville are trying to determine what caused an eight car accident they have nicknamed "crashfest." Officer Jim Knoll says the wrecks happened around 8:00pm Friday, injuring several people. Knoll says the wrecks started when a Dodge Intrepid swerved all over Fort Campbell Boulevard, ran multiple red lights and crashed into several vehicles stopped at a red light.

Knoll says the Intrepid sideswiped some vehicles and forced others to crash into each other. Three people were transported, while two others were treated at the scene. Investigators are trying to determine if alcohol was involved in the incident.
