Darrin Hunt of Herndon will be making a run for the top spot in the 9300-pound Super Farm class Saturday night at the 45th Annual Championship Tractor Pull, at the National Farm Machinery Show. Hunt took first place honors Thursday when his Dreamin Too tractor pulled the weight sled 244.56 feet to win the class by one-hundreth of a foot. Hunt will compete against five other tractors Saturday during the finals of the 45th annual pull. Darrin's father Steve says the competition is always tough at the National Farm Machinery Show.
Meanwhile Wednesday night Darrin's brother Brandon barely missed making it to the finals Saturday night with a 10th place finish aboard his "Livin A Dream" tractor in the very tough 82-hundred pound Super Stock Class that had a four-way pull-off to determine the winner. Brandon's tractor pulled the weight sled 235.44 feet, just nine feet short of the winning pull distance.
