Crime Stoppers Fugitive Arrested After Foot Pursuit

A tip to Crime Stoppers led to the arrest of a fugitive featured in July who was wanted on several warrants, including charges of assault and burglary.

According to Christian County Sheriff’s Captain Chris Miller, the tip led deputies to Building F at Woodland Heights Apartments on Greenville Road Wednesday morning where located 32-year old Travis Sentel Thomas, who had six outstanding warrants. After a brief foot pursuit, Captain Miller says Thomas was taken into custody without incident in the area of the “F” building. He adds Thomas was served the warrants and was in possession of suspected marijuana at the time of his arrest.

Thomas was booked into the Christian County Jail charged with possession of marijuana and fleeing from police on foot. The warrants were for Contempt of Court, 1st Degree Assault, three counts of Probation Violation, 1st Degree Burglary, and 2nd Degree Criminal Mischief.
