From the News Edge: Transportation officials are reporting a traffic backup along the westbound lanes of I-24 in the work zone from near the Kentucky-Tennessee State Line to the Fort Campbell Boulevard exit. The contractor is pouring concrete as part of ongoing pavement rehabilitation work around the 89-mile marker, near the Pembroke-Oak Grove exit. Westbound I-24 traffic in this work zone is backed up about 3 to 4 miles at this time with traffic slowed to about 35 mph in the area. Kentucky Ag Commissioner James Comer will be the featured guest for Monday night’s Farm to Table Dinner, in Hopkinsville. This dinner is a part of Comer’s idea to have dinners hosted by agriculture families all across the Commonwealth, where the menu is 100-percent Kentucky Proud.

Local and state products will be prepared for the dinner. Additionally, there will be a selection of Kentucky Proud bourbons and wines for tasting, a wine pairing discussion, a silent auction, and a taping of the “Secrets of Bluegrass Chefs” TV show.

Proceeds from the dinner in Hopkinsville will benefit the Trilogy Center for Women. Seating for the event was limited to 125 people, and has been sold out. The dinner gets underway at 5:30pm Monday at Harper House.
