Clarksville Police Issue Advisory For Shoppers

Clarksville Police are advising shoppers about a rash of thefts from shopping carts or unattended bags. Police say in the last month there have been approximately twelve reported thefts of purses or bags taken when they were left unattended for a short period of time. The majority of the thefts have occurred between 10 am and noon. In some cases, the thief has used the victim’s credit or debit card to make other purchases.

Police issue the reminder that with the holiday season here, heavy shopping, and large crowds, the potential for thefts increases and shoppers should be extremely vigilant.
