Christian District Judges Recovering

An interim District Judge from Fulton will serve on the bench in Christian County due to both District Judges being out due to medical reasons. Christian Circuit Clerk Gary Haddock says the Kentucky Supreme Court has designated that Judge Hunter Whitesell, II, of Fulton, who serves as the Chief District Judge of the Purchase Region, will serve in the absence of Judges Adams and Lynch.

Christian District Judge Arnold Lynch is reportedly alert and responsive after being flown to Vanderbilt Medical Center Sunday morning. Lynch's Brother Wendell Lynch tells the News Edge Judge Lynch's wife Ruth found him unresponsive Sunday morning between 7:30 and 8:00 at their home. Wendell says his younger brother is alert and communicating well, with doctors still running tests to determine what actually caused his medical issue.

Meanwhile District Judge Jim Adams also remains on medical leave due to hip replacement surgery. Officials in the District Judge's Office says Judge Adams could return to the bench as early as next week.
