Christian County Road Paving Beginning Friday

State transportation officials have announced that a contractor plans to restrict traffic to one lane for asphalt paving along sections of KY 117, KY 398, and KY 1027 in Christian County starting Friday. Paving along KY 117/Gracey-Herndon Road runs from near the Davenport Road intersection to near the intersection with KY 272.

The paving along KY 398/Bainbridge Road runs from the 1 mile marker to about the 2 mile marker, which is just to the north of the KY 91 intersection. Paving along KY 1027/Long Pond Road runs between KY 109 and KY 115.

Motorists who regularly travel these highways during daylight hours should be alert for one lane traffic with alternating flow controlled by flaggers. Appropriate caution is required where equipment, flaggers, and construction personnel are along the roadway in close proximity to traffic flow. Officials add that some delays are possible during the movement and positioning of equipment to facilitate the work. Work on this group project is expected to take about a week to complete, weather permitting.
