Bond Reduced In Criminal Mischief Case

A former Crofton Firefighter could be out of jail soon after the judge lowered his bond Wednesday. Glenn McGee appeared in Christian Circuit Court on the charge of 1st Degree Criminal Mischief. His attorney, Michael Thompson argued that there should be no bond as the case was thrown out in District Court because John Morgan failed to show up to court.

The case was directly submitted to the Grand Jury after McGee was indicted on charges of 2nd Degree Arson, 3rd Degree Burglary, and 1st Degree Official Misconduct in connection to the August 20th fire at a Crofton building. Circuit Judge John Atkins agreed to reduce McGee's bond from $10,000 to 10 percent of $5,000. The criminal mischief indictment says he caused $1,000 in damage between September 25th and October 2nd to Morgan's property.
