Bill Booth

Bill Booth

Bill grew up in Western Kentucky and has been involved in radio since 1981.  Bill's first on the air appearance was when he was a member of the "KYX CLUB",  a high school broadcasting club hosted by WKYX AM in Paducah.  On Sunday nights, different high schools would "host" the radio show.  Bill's sister-in-law recorded his first show off the radio onto a cassette.  Let's just say he's improved since then.

Bill's favorite Radio Station of all time was WLS "THE BIG 89" in Chicago in the late sixties and the seventies.  He loved Larry Lujack and his regular feature called "ANIMAL STORIES", which he produced with 'LIL TOMMY.

He graduated with a degree in Radio/TV Broadcasting from Western Kentucky University.  He has worked all over the Southeast in the radio business.  Some of Bill's stops include Western KY, West TN, Fort Walton Beach FL, Tallahassee FL, and Columbia, SC.

Bill currently is the Operations Manager for Ham Broadcasting and hosts the "Live Afternoon Drive" weekdays 3p-5p on Real Country 106.5 fm.  Bill was featured in Country Air Check in a story that featured country program directors who worked at Marconi Nominated stations.  He also hosts a nationally syndicated radio show called "Drive-In Radio," a company he founded.

Bill is a big sports fan.  Some of his favorite teams include:  Chicago Cubs, South Carolina Gamecocks, Western Kentucky Hilltoppers, and the Trigg County Wildcats! Bill is best described as a big kid at heart and the pictures throughout this article are mere proof of his positive attitude that shines on everyone he is around.

He is married to his beautiful wife Chrissy, and they have two sons
