Arrowcats Take Third At State Archery Meet

Trigg County finished third at the KHSAA State Archery Meet Thursday in Lexington – their fifth straight top five finish. The Arrowcats were 11 points behind defending state champion Madison Central’s point total of 3,442.  Lafayette finished second just two points behind Madison Central.

Trigg had three female archers finish in the top 15.  Lora Lee Heady shot a 293 to finish third among females.  Kaylin Smith shot a 289 to finish 10th, and Macy Mitchell was 13th with a 288.

Clay Stevens was the top male shooter for Trigg County with a score of 289, good for 36th place.  John Gibson finished 50th, and Justin Kelly was 51st.
