The commander of the special forces team involved in Saturday’s mission to go after a terrorist in Syria is from Cadiz.
Lieutenant General Scott Howell is the commander of Special Forces based at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. The special forces include the Delta Force and SEAL teams.
President Donald Trump announced Sunday morning the special forces team went after Isis terror leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi. The President announced that during the attack Baghdadi retreated into a cave and detonated an explosive filled vest. He and three children died in the explosion.
