Trigg County magistrates approved Monday evening the 2019-2020 fiscal year budget and to help a Cadiz museum apply for a grant to make improvements.
Judge/Executive Hollis Alexander presented the unchanged budget to members before they unanimously approved it.

He notes most of the increases come from requirements and the animal control officer position.
Magistrates also approved a resolution that will allow the court to be the governmental agency to sign and submit all necessary documents for the chance for the Janice Mason Art Museum to get up to $500,000 in grant money. The money, if approved, would come from the 2019 Kentucky Community Development Block Grant.

In other action, members approved a bid from Wildcat Chevrolet in Cadiz for a new truck for the Trigg County Road Department. Alexander says the truck they have now is getting worn out.

Also approved was the appointment for Alana Dunn to be the courts newest member on the Trigg County Senior Citizens Advisory Council.
