The Trigg County Extension Office is looking forward to several new events they have on the calendar for this summer, including some exciting homemaker events.
Extension Office agent Cecilia Hostilo told the News Edge about the events they have planned for June and July.
Hostilo says that kids who are showing their country hams at the Kentucky State Fair can come by the Extension Office to practice and perfect their speeches on July 24th and 25th from 1:00 – 5:30 pm with an appointment.
Another event coming up this month is a Homemaker Placement Pouches class. Hostilo says there are spots still available for the class and the deadline to call and register is Friday.
Hostilo says the annual Homemaker’s Trip is coming up next month with June 28th being the deadline to reserve your spot. This year they will be going to Louisville and the trip will include a tour of the KY Derby Museum and the Louisville Slugger Museum.
Other events coming up include a Cards and Canvas class on July 22nd where participants will make handmade cards and paint a Kentucky canvas. The class is $20, to register for any of these classes, please call the Trigg County Extension Office at (270) 522-3269.
