Kentucky State Police are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred on State Line Road in Todd County Sunday afternoon.
According to reports from the scene, a vehicle was located off the roadway about two miles south of Hayden’s Mill Road with the driver’s side window and rear window broken out and a male victim that was unresponsive in the passenger’s seat. Todd County Rescue officials confirmed that the victim had suffered a gunshot wound to his body. Todd County EMS initially removed the victim from the vehicle and attempted to perform CPR. The Todd County Coroner was later called to the scene.
Reports from Kentucky State Police indicate multiple people possibly with weapons fled the scene into the woods. Detectives from Kentucky State Police and the Todd County Sheriff’s Department are continuing to investigate the shooting.
Reports from the scene indicate witnesses saw a dark-colored pickup truck with several people inside at the time of the shooting.
