An Oak Grove woman was injured when authorities say her vehicle ran off of Frank Yost Lane last week.
According to the Hopkinsville Police report, 26-year old Misty Bennett was driving westbound on Frank Yost Lane Thursday afternoon when she lost control of her car between Quintin Court and Sun Chemical Court. Her car then hit an earth embankment and traveled into a small body of water. Bennett told officers she was upset and crying and wiped tears from her eyes when she realized the vehicle was off of the road. Bennett said she tried to get the car back onto the road but may have overcorrected causing the vehicle to enter the small body of water.
Bennett was provided first aid by EMS on the scene and then she was transported by ambulance to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for further treatment.
