The Christian County Grand Jury indicted a Hopkinsville woman Friday on several wanton endangerment charges.
27-year old Jada Monique Booker was indicted for seven counts of 1st Degree Wanton Endangerment and 1st Degree Criminal Mischief. On May 23, according to the arrest warrant, the victim stated while driving on North Drive, Booker purposefully bumped into her vehicle three times. When the female victim pulled into the parking lot at Fred’s Car Audio, Booker reportedly bumped into the vehicle six more times. The warrant says there were three children and two adults in the victim’s vehicle at the time, and Booker created a substantial danger of serious physical injury to by using her vehicle to purposefully bump into the victm’s vehicle. Police say there is video of the incident and that Booker admitted to the behavior.
The grand jury also indicted 43-year old Douglas Lamont Wilford for his 4th DUI with Aggravator, Operating a Motor Vehicle on a Suspended/Revoked License, and a couple of traffic-related offenses. Wilford was arrested by Hopkinsville Police on June 3 after officers say he was seen not wearing a seat belt and failing to come to a complete stop at a stop sign on High Street. The traffic stop resulted in Wilford being arrested after officers reportedly smelled alcoholic beverages on his breath and he performed poorly on field sobriety tests. Police also determined he was driving on a suspended driver’s license.
