A Hopkinsville Soap Box Derby racer is returning home from Akron, Ohio, as a World Champion. According to Hopkinsville Kiwanis President Annie Catron, Ashton Grace was crowned World Local Super Stock Champion after taking first place this weekend at the All American Soap Box Derby in Akron, Ohio.
Meanwhile, Conner Bledsoe took fourth place in the World Rally Stock Division and Courtney Planka, Audrey Rains and Maggie Goode all had strong showings in their divisions.
Lane Schlafke of Bowling Green also won first place in at the event.
