A Hopkinsville woman was injured in a two-vehicle wreck that occurred Friday afternoon at East 9th Street and the Pennyrile Parkway.
Hopkinsville Police report 43-year old Leslie Johnson was driving west on East 9th Street and attempted to turn left onto the Pennyrile Parkway when she was hit by an eastbound pickup truck driven by 27-year old William Beadnell of Dunmor. Police say both driver’s indicated they had a green light. Beadnell stated when he saw Johnson’s car turning he slammed on his brakes but could not avoid the collision, hitting her car in the passenger’s side.
Johnson was reportedly transported by ambulance to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for treatment of multiple injuries.
