Meteorologists at the National Weather Service in Paducah say that a slight risk for severe thunderstorms remains over western Kentucky this evening. The primary hazards with any severe storms will be damaging winds and hail. An isolated tornado cannot be totally ruled out, especially in or near the warm frontal boundary.

Locally heavy rain could produce isolated flooding overnight Sunday. Repeated movement of thunderstorms over the same area will be possible. There is a potential for one to locally three inches of rain over parts of western Kentucky. Forecasters say to be on the lookout for the threat of flooding at nighttime, which is one of the deadliest weather events.
